China confirms President Xi will not attend G20 summit this weekend

China has confirmed that President Xi Jinping will not attend the G20 summit this weekend. Premier Li Qiang will be going for the meeting in New Delhi instead. There was no explanation offered at the foreign ministry briefing, only a statement of the premier's intended aims for the meeting, in the president's stead.
