A grand jury indicted Moore, Proctor and Quartrez Marquise Spy, 21, on charges of aggravated robbery and kidnapping, both first-degree felonies. The robbery charge includes a firearm specification. The indictment was filed June 29.

A warrant was out for Spy's arrest as of Wednesday, according to court records.

Kent police said two men, one with a gun, entered Lightly Toasted Glass and Vapors, 247 N. Water St., at just after 3 p.m. June 9. The men took an unidentified amount of cash and some merchandise and theft through the store's rear door. They then fled in a car.

A short time later, Brimfield police stopped a car because it fit the description of the vehicle used in the robbery. Kent police said there was not enough evidence at the time to hold the three individuals in the vehicle and Brimfield police were forced to let them go.

However, Spy, Proctor and Moore were identified as the individuals in the stopped car and subsequent investigation led to the charges, Kent police said. Police said it is further believed that Proctor and Spy were the two males in the store while Moore allegedly waited outside in the car and drove it.

Warrants were issued for their arrest.

The kidnapping charges are due to a subsection within state law defining kidnapping. In this case, said police, it was because the store's clerk was allegedly forced to move around inside the store at gunpoint and their liberty was restrained during the robbery.

Moore and Proctor are currently scheduled for Sept. 19 jury trials. A status conference is scheduled for Aug. 8 and a pretrial hearing on Sept. 14.

Attrneys for Morre and Proctor could not imediately be identified.
