As THC products become more available, accessible and potent, it is imperative that we protect children from accidental poisonings that lead to preventable interventions, emergency-room visits and sometimes admissions to hospitals and intensive-care units. Specifically, we need legislation that restricts copycat packaging, requires child-resistant packaging that complies with the Poison Prevention Packaging Act of 1970 and limits the quantity of THC in each serving size and package.
