Final Fantasy XIV's New Expansion Dawntrail Revealed

The long-awaited Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest kicked off July 28 in Las Vegas, and during the event Square Enix unveiled the game's upcoming expansion, Dawntrail, in a new trailer. You can check it out below.Dawntrail will be the fifth major expansion for Final Fantasy XIV and is set to be released in the summer of 2024. The expansion's storyline will treat players to a much-needed beach vacation, as the game's main characters explore the tropical island of Eorzea's New World. Director Naoki Yoshida, known as Yoshi-P, shared his unwavering dedication to the game during the keynote presentation, stating, "I wanted to continue to work on the game until I die or even afterward." The adventure will take place in Tural, a distant land located to the west of Eorzea. Players will be involved in a rite of succession, competing for the opportunity to determine Tural's next ruler.
