Delhi University elections see 42% turnout, results today
The voting percentage for the Delhi University Student Union elections increased from 39.9% to 42%. The results are yet to be declared, but the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) claimed victory in 34 colleges. The National Student Union of India claimed victory in 18 colleges. The election process was largely peaceful, but there were violations of poll norms with campaign materials strewn on the roads. Students expressed their hopes for better facilities and changes to the university syllabus. Some positions in Ramjas and Kirori Mal were elected unopposed.
