Investigation determines cause of double fatal on Howard Avenue in Binghamton

A Binghamton Police investigation has determined a man shot his wife multiple times at a 56 Howard Ave. home Aug. 19, then started a fire and later shot himself inside the residence.Police responded to the home for a report of shots fired and smoke coming from the residence at about 4:15 p.m., according to Binghamton Police Captain Cory J. Minor. Upon arrival an active fire was found at the residence, along with an adult male and female who had sustained life-threatening injuries.The deceased male has been identified as Patrick Angeline, 64, of Binghamton, and the deceased female victim has been identified as Wanda Angeline, 62, of Binghamton.The investigation determined that Patrick Angeline had shot his wife multiple times and started a fire in the home, according to Minor. Patrick later shot himself inside the residence.
