Pritzker is moving to extend his influence beyond the Land of Lincoln by launching a new nonprofit called Think Big America, which intends to support abortion referendums in other states. It’s pretty cheeky coming from a guy who signed a ban on out-of-state money in Illinois judicial elections. Two years ago Mr. Pritzker signed a law to block Illinois judicial campaigns from accepting contributions from people in other states. This May it was struck down as unconstitutional by a federal judge, but by that point the law had already served its short-term purpose of helping liberal judges in their 2022 elections. Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker is moving to extend his influence beyond the Land of Lincoln by launching a new nonprofit called Think Big America, which intends to support abortion referendums in other states. It’s pretty cheeky coming from a guy who signed a ban on out-of-state money in Illinois judicial elections.

Two years ago Mr. Pritzker signed a law to block Illinois judicial campaigns from accepting contributions from people in other states. This May it was struck down as unconstitutional by a federal judge, but by that point the law had already served its short-term purpose of helping liberal judges in their 2022 elections.
