Those days are long gone for me. Since China took over, I have had no desire to return (“The Faith and Witness of Jimmy Lai” by William McGurn, Main Street, Dec. 19).Although I still keep a little social contact with a very kind man I did business with in Hong Kong, I am reserved in what I can say, and I know he is as well. For many years I did business in Hong Kong, and it was a beautiful, vibrant, energetic city to visit, transact business and develop some very nice friends. Those days are long gone for me. Since China took over, I have had no desire to return (“The Faith and Witness of Jimmy Lai” by William McGurn, Main Street, Dec. 19).
