Rural Guns Are for Self-Defense

I suspect, however, that it has at least as much to do with slower 911 response times in many rural areas. When you’re a half-mile from your own mailbox and facing a wait of 15 minutes or more for local law enforcement to respond, you must be able to defend yourself and your loved ones with more than a phone and a prayer.
