Will the Profit Motive Fail Us on AI Safety?

I respect Mr. Jenkins’s business and political insights, but it can sound naive to say that AI “won’t soon replace the human knack for synthesizing the most valuable insight from a welter of facts.” This seems to be exactly the goal of many transhumanists and the global elite. The speed at which this technology is developing means that it could be a dream or a nightmare in five years. If the controlling factor is mere profit
