Tō Pōti 2023: Youngest MP in 170 years enters Parliament

A new generation of Māori politicians are about to enter parliament following Labour's crushing defeat to Te Pāti Māori in the Māori seats. At just 21 years old, Hana Rāwhiti Maipi-Clarke has dethroned her relation, Labour’s Nanaia Mahuta for Hauraki-Waikato.
