Her brand, Pat McGrath Labs’ new, gel-like Divine Blush: Legendary Glow Colour Balm imparts a sheen of color, like peachy coral or cool rose, that gives skin a glistening, reflective quality. For those who haven’t mastered McGrath’s artistic skills, it’s also easy to wield. $29 …and blurry matte lips. A true matte lip is a beauty classic: deeply pigmented color that relies on precise application. These days, a lower-fi look holds sway, particularly in the summer months.

You’ll have glassy cheeks…

Not quite dewy, far from matte, the texture du jour for cheeks, as decreed by the queen of makeup artistry, Pat McGrath, is glassy. $29

…and blurry matte lips.

A true matte lip is a beauty classic: deeply pigmented color that relies on precise application. These days, a lower-fi look holds sway, particularly in the summer months. While Glossier’s G Suit has plenty of pigment payoff, and Violette_FR’s Bisou Balm veers more sheer, both take a blurrier route that looks lovingly lived-in. Glossier G Suit, $22; Violette_FR Bisou Balm, $28

Fermented mushrooms will be in your skin-care products.

The shroom boom has been well-documented, but the fungus kingdom is vast, and new and powerful ingredients continue to come into focus. In skin care, the latest compelling contender is the djon djon, a mushroom native to Haiti that’s rich in vitamins A and B, proteins and polysaccharides. It features prominently in Furcy Botanik, a new skin-care line that leans heavily on Haitian-grown ingredients, and the brand’s hydrating, antioxidant-rich essence. Furcy Botanik Essence Éklat, $75

You’ll use multitasking products to get out the door faster.

The new skin-care line from Danuta Mieloch, aesthetician and founder of Rescue Spa in New York, aims to have a transformative effect on your routine, by dramatically paring it down. The hero product is Cerabalm, a honey-like concoction that serves as a gentle double cleanser, a mask and a glow-imparting hydrating balm. From $55

Your perfume will be an offbeat bottling of summer.

What makes a strong summer scent is open to myriad interpretations. Nette’s Coco Fleur is a sparkling, sultry blend with hints of bergamot, orange flower, coconut milk and sandalwood. And Régime des Fleurs’s Crushed Fruits pivots away from the brand’s masterful floral creations for this first foray into fruit. The result is a lush, jammy mash-up of plum flesh, raspberry seed, apple skin and pineapple husk cut through with jasmine sambac absolute. Nette Coco Fleur, $120; Régime des Fleurs Crushed Fruits, $190

Nails will get the skin-care treatment.

For those who are paralyzed by indecision when confronted with the nail salon’s rainbow of lacquer shades, consider this kit a worthy reason to say goodbye to all that. Used regularly, Bare Hands’ ergonomic glass polisher and cuticle oil pen help nails look glossy and healthy enough to go bare. Bare Hands The Dry Gloss Manicure Kit, $42

You’ll significantly upgrade your sunscreen coterie…

With formulations and ingredients constantly evolving and improving, the quest for the perfect sunscreen is a seemingly never-ending one. We’ve whittled our list down to these five favorites. Colorescience’s latest carries on the brand’s commitment to no-fuss, high-performing formulas for the face; Dr. Loretta’s Universal Glow Daily Defense Mineral Sunscreen Fluid is lightweight with a slight sheen and works well with the brand’s skin-care products; Savor Beauty Radiance Sun Milk feels silky smooth on the skin and has the appealing (stay with me here) whiff, albeit faintly, of Cinnamon Toast Crunch; Lesse’s Every Tone is a zinc-based product designed for all skin tones, with no white residue; and RMS’s SuperNatural Radiance Serum has a cosmetic-like finish. Colorescience Total Protection No-Show Mineral Sunscreen, $45; Dr. Loretta Universal Glow Daily Defense Mineral Sunscreen Fluid, $60; Savor Beauty Radiance Sun Milk, $38; Lesse Every Tone, $85; RMS SuperNatural Radiance Serum, $48

…and add a serious sun-shielding accessory.

If the characters from the original 1982 Blade Runner had prioritized sun protection, this face shield would be their accessory of choice to do the job. It’s a collaboration between Bluestone Sunshields and PillowtalkDerm founder Shereene Idriss, a dermatologist, so it’s not just a style statement: The brands say the heat-resistant visor offers UPF 50+ protection in covered areas and blocks 99 percent of UVA and UVB rays. Bluestone Sunshields x PillowtalkDerm Major Shade Full Lux Sunshield, $70

Air-dried hair will have a support system.

Many very famous heads of hair (see Emma Stone, Natalie Portman, Michelle Yeoh and Olivia Wilde) have been entrusted to stylist Mara Roszak. And her new line of products, Rōz, is a culmination of many years of experience tending to those heads. The leave-in milky hair serum is a one-and-done product for summertime air-drying, smoothing and taming without leaving a greasy film. Rōz Milk Hair Serum, available soon, $52

And your limbs will thank you.

A wave of compelling new body-care products arrives just in time for the months when our limbs are getting extra exposure. French brand Abi Amé’s new Summer Skin fulfills the need for hydration with a blend of niacinamide, vitamin B5 and oat extract; Osea’s Undaria Collagen Body Lotion relies on vegan collagen and hyaluronic acid to make a quick-absorbing, lightweight lotion, a boon in the heat and humidity; the latest from minimalist skin-care purveyor Nécessaire, The Body Retinol, couples the titular ingredient with mandelic and glycolic acids for exfoliation; and Le Prunier’s patented plum extract, named Midnight Muir, is a key factor in the brand’s new antioxidant-rich body cream. Abi Amé Summer Skin, $38; Osea Undaria Collagen Body Lotion, $48; Nécessaire The Body Retinol, $55; Le Prunier Plumbody, $80
