Return to my seaside village birthplace
Ever since I became an adult, I have always thought about my identity. Who am I? Where was I born? What was I like when I was a baby? Most of my questions were answered by my older siblings and my late mother. But still, I was curious about my early childhood or, more specifically, my babyhood. This feeling got so strong that I suggested to my wife a visit to my birthplace. According to my sister, this place called White Rapid Village is on the outskirts of Yeongdo, Busan. It is now one of the most popular places in Busan. It must have been different 60 years ago. Or, so I thought.
